Kunis underwent gun training for her role. Max Payne was relatively successful at the box office, grossing $85 million worldwide but was panned by critics with several reviewers calling Kunis miscast. However, in 2009, Mila Kunis was nominated for another Teen Choice Award for her role in the film.
